I want to take this opportunity to commend your employee Mr. Cassidy Armstrong, Senior Loan Officer, SMI Mortgage for a truly outstanding performance in offering, processing and completing my VA Loan for the purchase of the above property. I cannot believe how diligently he worked to ensure that my loan was available in record time despite a calamity of problems that ensued in my obtaining an Eligibility Certification from the VA.

From Florida I went on-line to the Texas VA Loan Web-site to obtain a list of potential loan sources. Cassidy Armstrong was the first to respond---the same day---with a most cordial phone call offering any assistance I needed. He informed me of the SMI services available, quoted current VA and Conventional rates for my purchase price range---then explained several options available to me with the advantages or each regards the prudent use of my financial assets. This advisement was invaluable to me. He was extremely thorough and quickly followed up with e-mail Good Faith Estimates and overnight delivery of a loan application package. I provided Cassidy essential information by phone such that I had everything I needed before I completed the written offer and contract for purchase of the property to include a SMI loan pre-certification. This was all that was necessary to provide my wife and I a comfort zone.

We set out to obtain a VA loan. My application for VA Eligibility Certification was returned to me almost five weeks after submission---because certain blocks had not been completed---despite the written information I had provided indicating that I did not have the records of dates and places of my previous VA loan(s) activities---but, that I had sold all prior properties. There was no way I could return the application to effect a turn-around time to meet my projected closing date. The closing date had significant financial implications.

Cassidy jumped into the breech to get me a conventional loan and we proceeded along that route. In the mean time he energized SMI to pursue the VA Certificate of Eligibility via lenders channels. SMI also experienced problems with the VA Processing Center. Yet, after repeated SMI efforts, the Certificate miraculously appeared at SMI just a few days prior to my projected closing. Cassidy immediately called me to tell me the good news and that he was re-activating the processing of the VA loan. I am still amazed at the amount of energy, time and persistence that Cassidy put forth in getting the loan processing activities completed to meet the closing on time.

SMI should be very comfortable and proud to have such a dedicated employee as Cassidy Armstrong. If I were still in business, I would fight to have him work for and with me because he gives his all for the client. He is to be commended for an outstanding performance.
